Colleen and Adam were planning a big, traditional celebration with family and friends this June. After it became clear that COVID wasn’t going away anytime soon, they decided to pivot, and planned an amazing weekend in Ouray, Colorado with their closest family and friends to celebrate their marriage on their original wedding date.

Colleen and Adam and their immediate families all stayed at the cutest bed and breakfast called The Secret Garden, in downtown Ouray, where they spent the weekend and got ready for their big day. We took a 4x4 jeep tour up into Yankee Boy Basin, which was absolutely stunning, and definitely exciting, with a narrow, dirt, bumpy road, climbing up into the mountains with steep drop offs- definitely not for the faint of heart, but so worth it for the views and pristine environment.

We pulled over and they chose their perfect ceremony spot, and as the ceremony began, a light rain began falling on us. It was absolutely beautiful. The San Juan Mountains might be my favorite area of Colorado. It’s called “The Switzerland of America”, and for good reason. It’s clear why they chose this special place to get married, and I was so grateful that I was able to join them on this adventure and capture such a special day for these two. Thanks to R&R Events and Design for helping put together this adventure filled day!
