Rachel and Martin were originally planning a big wedding with friends and family from all over the world. With COVID, they had to postpone. Instead of waiting until who knows when, they decided to elope in a courthouse. They still wanted to have portraits in their wedding clothes, so we met in one of my favorite spots - Rocky Mountain National Park!

We met before sunrise in the dark, and hiked about 2 miles to an alpine lake, to catch alpenglow light up the peaks on the mountains behind us. I’m not naturally a morning person, but it’s worth it every time to wake up for those sunrise photos. I had such a great time with these two!

We found Mary on our wedding venue’s Instagram and booked her for our 2020 wedding which was then postponed. She has been super flexible and understanding with our date change. We decided to take a trip to RMNP for an adventure anyway in the fall, and Mary had the best ideas of where/when to hike for the most epic pictures!! Literally every place we stopped to pose along the way was extremely epic! We are awkward as a couple and it was really cold, but Mary was encouraging, and our photos are everything we could have dreamed of! When I look at our gallery wall, I feel the love we share.... in the most beautiful place I could imagine! Thank you Mary!
